Zip lining in the clouds

After a long hard day in San Cristobal volunteering at our sites, a group of us decided to go zip lining. We got in three separate taxis and drove up the mountain into the clouds. It started raining but that didn't stop us from the fun. Once we strapped up and put helmets on, we headed up the hill. There were about five flights of steps to go up, but with the elevation being 8,000 feet above sea level, we all were pretty winded.

Each and every one of us was scared to go first. We ended up taking turns recording each other. There was one friend in particular who was scared to go. With a ton of encouragement and some jokes, he made it across. As a collective we all needed that excursion. We all broke a mental barrier we were fighting and we let go stress that was weighing us down. This is one experience I will never forget.
