On the last day of our trip we took a trip to the canyons in southern Chiapas. There we learned about the history of Chiapas and seen wildlife such as crocodiles, spider monkeys, and iguanas. We also seen a chapel inside one of the canyons, the border to Guatemala, and we even got to eat Jicama with chamoy
from a floating market.
This excursion allowed me to see the beauty that God created. I was able to sit back, enjoy the breeze, and reflect on my life, the semester, and make plans for my future. This could have possibly been the highlight of my trip.
